Testimonials

I’ve always appreciated all of the support for the business strategy game guide I created a few years ago. As I’ve moved over to the new website, I want to include some of the testimonials from the old one.   Here are some of the best ones from teams who bought the tips guide or I personally coached:

CSU Channel Islands Student Quote“Thanks for getting us into the BSI Invitational. We ended up ranking 2nd in the world in our category for ROE and 32nd in the world for stock price. Feel free to add me to the testimonials section of your site (without the name of course) or give students my e-mail address if they want a reference.”

Student, California State University Channel Island (see the top 100 for details)

Lynchburg College Student Quote“Dave, I really appreciated all of the help. We ended up taking first place by the hair on our chin with an EPS of $10.90, an ROE of 19% and an Image rating of 92. Our Credit rating only went to a B+. Enjoy the beer money : )”

Student, Lynchburg College

University of California Berkeley Student Quote“Hydro Shoes ended up taking first in our industry and getting 100% on both quizzes. Thanks for the year 16 help, we really messed up.”

Student, UC Berkley

Clemson University Student Quote“I’m sorry for all of the e-mail harassment. Thanks for the last minute help we ended up going with your original plan and barely taking first. The teacher said it was the largest comeback he has ever seen in the seven years he has used the game”

Student, Celmson University

Cal Poly State University Student Quote“Thanks for posting the study guides for the quiz. Our whole class bombed them and our teacher ended up using our grades as extra credit.”

Student, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo

Cal Lutheran Student Quote“We could haven’t come back if it wasn’t for your help and the guide. We were really screwed and the help the teacher was giving us was honestly making things worse. You were right we were thinking of things in too much of real life terms. We need to take a step back and approach the game a lot more like we were playing chess. Thanks again. It really meant a lot.”

Student, California Lutheran University

If you want any more testimonials or want me to provide references, please feel free to contact me on my contact page or look at our twitter account. We have numerous examples of students we have interacted with in the past on that page.

  1. At first I was a little skeptical about buying the guide but it is well worth the money. The strategies Dave suggests are superior and not known by the majority of the students. It’s not cheating either, it simply gives you a different ways to execute strategies effectively. My teams numbers were so much higher than all of our competitors it almost seemed to easy. Thanks for the great guide!

  3. Thank you, Dave, for helping us through tough situations we got ourselves into. Doing a TV Round with you was like talking to a friend over Skype, extremely friendly and talkative, while giving helpful information. In just 2 years we were able to come back to the top once again after being last for 2 years. Thank you again, Dave!

  4. Thanks, your company is a good example of a situation where it is possible to go from nearly last place to first within a very short period of time.

  5. Dave is the best. When we were completely overwhelmed with the situation, we somehow found him and his services on Google. Group projects are hard enough when the material is understandable, and the responsibilities are easily dividable. Without Dave, we would have been completely screwed. With Dave, we actually learned a good bit about the game, and we were recognized national by BSG several times. We also received a lot of bonus points throughout the simulation, too. Dave helped us complete our PowerPoint for the final presentation recapping the simulation, too. He gave us the material to use, we took it in, and made it our own. Dave was the best thing that could have happened to any of us. At first, we were scared that it was a scam or that we were going to just let someone hack into our computer; however, that was not the case at all. He’s real! And he’s really good! Best of luck! I hope to God I never have to do this simulation again – or anything close to it – but if I do, I know who I am running to!!!

  6. For any student worrying about the burden playing the BSG will put on their shoulders, worry no more! Dave is absolutely legitimate, and I have no problems whatsoever vouching for the help he offers. Navigating the labyrinth of the BSG simulation will be a breeze with Dave guiding the way. Patient, knowledgeable, and understanding of each group’s unique situation, Dave taught me more about the way the game works than my professor did. Just email him, and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

  7. I consider myself a good student who enjoys learning the materials thorough. I went to medical school and tried to obtain my MBA to better my understanding about business. I read the lengthy BSG guides more than 3 times and do very well in my course so far. But I decided to receive help from Dave so that I can be much better about the game which I found very overwhelmed and tricky at the beginning. I thought Dave is a very smart young man who is VERY good at this game as well as strategic decisions in business. I’m impressed with his success and enjoyed having him as my tutor. Thanks Dave!

  9. I was facing the stereotypical late night and Red Bulls study cram for the comprehensive test, even though you can’t study for it. If it wasn’t for Dave’s help swooping in and saving me, I would’ve failed my course, let my GPA slip and would’ve had to add another semester to my degree
